We specialize in K-9 rattlesnake avoidance training. We've trained thousands of dogs in the Tucson area to avoid rattlesnakes with a success rate of 100%! Colorado River Toad avoidance training is also available. Customer and veterinarian references are available upon request.
Our snake handler is Steve Reaves. Steve is an Arizona Department of Game and Fish Licensed Wildlife Service Provider. Steve has been working with rattlesnakes in Arizona for over 15 years. None of his snakes have been de-fanged, de-venomized or mutilated in any way. Rattlesnakes he uses in avoidance training are locked in a double-screened, heavy wire mesh cage, so your dog can smell, hear, and see them without any risk of injury to dog or snake.
Steve's services include reptile education classes (free to schools and non-profit organizations) and snake-wrangling for films and documentaries.
Steve is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and the National K-9 Association of Certified Professional Dog Trainers. He is a graduate of National K-9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio.
